It looks like Bathurst is coming Week 13. It also is possible that the New Tire Model Version 5 will come to the iRacing V8 Supercar, which could make that an attractive option for Season 4.

Interesting, the interview with tm dev I read on Facebook said they were primarily focusing on open wheel cars and ovals and it would be some time down the road before tin top road cars switched.....well I hope it's true

Dear Iracing,
Fix the damn V8 Falcon tire model to make it more drivable, improve the ffb so I can actually feel what the ass end is doing and get the Holden license deal done and I'm there.
That being said, I will be buying Bathurst.....well because it's Bathurst. I'm also curious how it compares to the others since this is the first laser scanned version of the track that I know of.

Yeah, that car has way too much power for that tire model. I think, as Dale references above, that they needed to figure out how to handle low grip, high power cars, which they have done as to the Lotus 49 and I suspect they will do soon as to the V8 Supercar. The interesting thing is that the Gen6 Sprint Cup car has a similar problem in real life, but it nonetheless feels great in iRacing, even on the road courses, both in terms of FFB and physics. It is my second favorite iRacing car after the Caddy.

Bathurst will be used in several of next week's Week 13 races, including, of course, the V8 Supercars which may have the new tire model version 5. I should be able to confirm soon once the release notes come out.

Looks like no new tire model for the Falcon. In fact, doesn't look like they've touched the V8 for this build. www.bsimracing.com/iracing-release-notes-for-2013-season-4/#2155New Tire Model - v5 Updates - There is now much better rolling drag computation, which gives more rolling drag and more tire heat. - Improved the low speed vs high speed grip levels. Now there is a little less low speed grip, and a little more high speed grip. - Improved/increased the loss of grip that occurs the thinner the tire tread rubber gets. - Cars that have been updated to the v5 model this season are: · Legends Ford '34 Coupe · Mazda MX-5 Cup · Mazda MX-5 Roadster · Pontiac Solstice · SCCA Spec Racer Ford · VW Jetta TDI Cup - As a reminder, the cars that were already on the v5 model are: · Lotus 49 · Skip Barber Formula 2000 · Street Stock · Williams-Toyota FW31

Bummer, that throws a wrench in my plan to do a GBR iRacing V8 Supercars series.

But we could do a series with the Corvette/Cadillac on a variety of fun and exciting tracks. Right? We could do that for sure. Yeah, totally do that. Yeah. It is my sincere dream that iRacing would bring us Nürburgring in all its glory. I dream a dream...

I dream a dream... hmmm... well I do agree with the dream to see the Nordschleife on iRacing but isn't 'hell' the word more commonly associated with that track? while 'glory' works very well with Bathurst
