But we could do a series with the Corvette/Cadillac on a variety of fun and exciting tracks. Right? We could do that for sure. Yeah, totally do that. Yeah. Of course. Subject to confirmation of interest via a thread I will start next month, I love the idea of doing a Corvette/Cadillac series starting in January. That would be our next GT series. We can stick with the Star Mazda or move to something else for the other GBR iRacing series. Since it has the NTM, perhaps we should roll with the Skip Barber car?

It is my sincere dream that iRacing would bring us Nürburgring in all its glory. I dream a dream... hmmm... well I do agree with the dream to see the Nordschleife on iRacing but isn't 'hell' the word more commonly associated with that track? while 'glory' works very well with Bathurst Amen to that. It would be quite an undertaking to laser scan the Green Hell.

But a worthwhile and noble undertaking!

Looks "ok" I guess. If you're into that laser scanned realism thing for racing. Glad they captured several acres of grassland beyond the track as that is usually where I end up somehow. Good to know I'll have some nice scenery to look at!

Looks like iRacing is deploying the new build as I write this post.

Awesome. I got my $10 series completion credits and so that will cover most of the cost of Bathurst for me. I also had a $10 credit for my friend joining iRacing a month ago and so that will cover most of the cost of the Nationwide Mustang. What sucks for me is that I cannot get home to download and try this stuff until after 8pm tonight, as I have a work function to attend after work is over. I am very much looking forward to trying the V8 Supercar at Bathurst and the Mustang at Iowa, without risking damage to my SR or iRating.

I just downloaded Bathurst. As expected, the track looks fabulous. The lighting is really good and the textures are very high quality. I was getting an average of. 90-95 fps on my triple screens with everything maxed for the most part. I am actually quite surprised how well the ORSM version got it in terms of accuracy as well as elevation changes.
I just had time to run 2 quick laps. The Falcon has a bit more grip compared to the last time I drove it (there was an update I missed last time so I haven't drive it for quite awhile). The ffb continues to be lacking. For example, coming down the front straight I could feel some bumps in the road and it jerked the wheel. Then when coming down the Dipper, I could hardly feel any sensation of the drop in my wheel. Really strange.
The car is more drivable than last time I ran it, but still a long way to go to get to rF2 or even rF1 ffb feel. I will spend more time this weekend. Bathurst was done really well, so no doubt a must to add to your Iracing content.

Hawks, take a look in the iRacing V8 Supercars forum. There is a thread started with Bathurst set ups. Perhaps they will be an improvement over what you were using, which I assume was the baseline set? members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3218709.page

I'll take a look, thanks Craig. I did use the base setup and it felt ok. It was mainly the ffb and sense of what the tires are doing that is lacking.
Again, I'm judging after a lousy 2 laps. I need to spend some more time with it.

I am likely in trouble tonight when I try out this car and track combo in one of the races.

Week 13 - no surprise... I won't run this car in the heat of battle at Bathurst until the official season. The wreckers are afraid to run this car when their SR is on the line.
