Well, I kept putting my RF2 renewal off and before I knew it August had vanished. Thanks to Jason for the heads up but I could have used an extra days reminder. So I finally updated last night and tested compatibility with the server, I also tried to dial in a rough base set up. It seems strange but with every build there seems to be less road feel and more sliding (less "stuck to the road" feel)to me. I swear I could feel tire sidewall deflection before, now it feels like an 80's caddy with over-boosted steering and little feedback. I will work hard tonight as soon as I get home to try to get somewhere close to not being a hazard so I can join you all. I ALMOST got my steering dialed in but not quite and will have to play around with many other settings to try to regain some positive road feel again. definitely not a favorite track for me either but will deal with it.  Looks like I am a definite maybe for tonight  |

For those not happy with the steering, start with Hawks' tune from this thread. Then match the in-game steering rotation to your wheel (or the other way, just make them the same). For some reason the game's setting isn't transferring to my wheel like it does for other mods. Once I got them both set the same, the steering felt a lot better. It's still not perfect, mind you, but feels better to me than say the ISI Corvette.

If guys are having trouble with road feel and the car feeling too loose with my tune, Dan's tune might be the answer. It is very stable.
And remember, the race tonight will not carry any championship points. I wanted to give everyone a chance to run the new build in a race setting.

I haven't heard from Tony Diamond for awhile, so no clue if he will make it. Also, he hasn't turned a lap on the server yet. I saw him on Iracing running the V8's last night. If I was a betting man, I would say he probably won't.

In case anyone wants to test out a couple tunes that hasn't been on the practice server, here you go. Jason's TuneDan's TuneAlso, I'm using about .7 gallons per lap on this track. With my tune, the left rear tire seems to be going off the quickest (because it's more tail happy). With Dan's, it's the left front. |

Well it finally happened , my CSW crapped out. It powers up, but on both rims the buttons are not working and when I get in game no wheel movement. So no racing for me for a while. |
