It's relatively close so I figured we could start the conversation... 24 Hours of Spa kicks off at 13:00 GMT (9 AM EDT, 6 AM PDT) on Saturday August 1.
Everyone who participated at the Glen said they were interested. Ideally, six drivers minimum would break it down to two 2-hour stints for each of us, not taking into consideration fuel usage. Anyone else interested??
I wish we had more Euro and Aussie members!

Maybe some of the RSM guys with iRatings similar to ours (mid-1000s to mid-2000s) want to drive?

I am definitely in for this. Had a great time in the 6 hours of Glen race.

Just posted in 2old2race sub-forums (@ 2old2play) about possibly looking for Euro/Oceanic drivers. There aren't many there, but there are a couple guys on iRacing. And most of the guys there we've run w/ in 2o4f, so they should gel with the rest of us. We'll see if I get any bites though (not holding my breath). GBR 24hrs of Spa Search

Sorry, I tend to not surf the web tons on the weekends aside from checking messages on FB. But even then I've been known to not look there for a day or 2 at a time.

Well the deed is done and a month of iRacing sorted, but the feckers waited until I had done that then sent me a three month deal that I now can't use LOL
Anyhoo if someone could sent me the set up we will be using and the paint I'll put in some time. Did a few hours today, struggling with the FFB, very different to rF2 and I'm not at all sure what the car is doing. But driving steady I can cope and stay on line and on track. Need to find a time I can join a practice session, as I have not done driver swaps in iRacing.

Glad to have you aboard, Knight! The paint will auto-load for you once I add you to the team and you run Trading Paints on track. Trading Paints is smart enough to connect drivers and teams. I'll send the invite shortly. We don't have a Spa set yet but if you grab Troy's V2 set from the Watkins thread, I don't see us doing much to that other than gearing changes. gbr.proboards.com/post/60209/threadOnce you get used to the car (make sure you're in the GT3 version) it's very predictable and recoverable if you get into trouble.

I also just created a Google Doc for team/race planning. You should have a message w/ the access link. For now let's start by tagging which hours we are available to drive. Hopefully we can get 1 or 2 more drivers by the weekend so we can start finalizing cars (assuming we get at least 1 more driver to run 2 cars).

Being 24h, we may want to consider a single car depending on driver numbers just to make the time zones work and not stretch guys too thin.
We also need to schedule for 1:10-ish per stint. We always end up deviating from the pitting on the hour thing, so may as well maximize stint length and save a stop or two.

Yeah, if we don't get anymore definitely a single car. Figure if we get 3 more we can run 2 cars w/o much issue. I figure we'll probably lock the driver roster Saturday morning and start figuring out stints and spot/crew rotations. Especially if we have 7 guys in one car, I'd like to keep 2 people on if at all feasible. It makes driving sooo much easier when you don't have to worry about any of the pit crap...also the spotty in game spotter.

Grand I have TP installed and got it updated so that's ready to go. Google doc edited with times I am available. Yup been running the GT3 yep it's savable...as long as your not silly...But damned if I can feel my rear, might have to tinker with the wheel settings a little.

We should also ID drivers that want/don't want spotters. I'm pretty well fine without a spotter until the last few hours. As long as there's overlap with the previous/next driver to manage pit strategy and traffic I'm good.
