Details TBA but it looks like the Audi and Mercedes are on tap to replace the Ford and Corvette DP for this round. This would be the time to change cars if we were all in agreement or stick with the McLaren. I'll run anything... it's up to you all. As usual, no one should be forced to buy a car for an event so don't feel any pressure... I'd happily stay with the McLaren. I'm posting now so drivers that don't know the track well can start to learn it. It burned in my brain, so I'm good to go Six drivers worked well the last time we did 24h. More are welcome. If we get 8 drivers we might want to discuss two teams. Drivers: 1. Dale 2. Armando 3. Chris 4. Dave F 5. Sheldon 6. Dave T Dave STroy

I want to run but just found out our neighborhood block party is that Saturday. I have zero desire to attend so I need to see what the wife's plans are. I'll figure it out soon.
I am fine with the McLaren. I know everyone is going to want to run one of the new cars. If there is a compelling reason to go with another car I am flexible.
I never even bought the track!

We can stick with the McLaren, but just a heads the Audi feels really good on this track

Not feeling good about running this event right now. I have never done well at the Green Hell. This track takes real commitment in every way. I'm afraid I wouldn't be ready by the time it comes around.

Alright, Wife's not keen on the block party either so I am in. I need to start driving the track ASAP since I don't even own their version. Is it safe to assume that it will be the GP and Nordscleife together?

Is it safe to assume that it will be the GP and Nordscleife together? I don't know but I believe both tracks combined is traditional for 24h events as the Ring doesn't have good pit facilities. We'll have to wait and see. There's an Indy 500 event before this one so iRacing may not post details until after that.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be ready by the time it comes around. Understood. Some of us have done endurance races there before and have good knowledge of the track which takes time. There is a really good version for rFactor, BTW. With this race over two months away you could learn the track on rF1 or rF2 for "free" and if you then feel ready, buy the iRacing track(s) and join us. I can get you a nice VLN* mod for rF1 and we can give you some benchmark times to shoot for. * This is VLN. There's a GT3 class within the series called SP9: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veranstaltergemeinschaft_Langstreckenpokal_N%C3%BCrburgring

Just not sure when at the moment. I will buy the tracks tonight or tomorrow since I want to pickup the Renault. I want to focus on that car for a couple of weeks and need to actually start practicing for efnet as the competition is getting tougher.

Yeah, the top end of Sportsmen is no joke. Easily competitive w/ the tail of Pro (where I'm currently at).

Snappy I can jump on tonight and practice with you if you want. I'll be on around 10:30.

I just noticed I have a 2.4 hour race there on the combined circuit on 4/17 in the Pacific Majors series. So looks like I'll have plenty of opportunity for practice.
