Since I upgraded to the newest Nvidia driver, pcars freezes at the login screen. Any suggestions? I already upgraded to the patch 221. which nVidia driver is that? I am using 301.24 the patch 221 is working ok for me. |

pCARS has announced licensing for 11 Ford cars including an iconic 67 Ford that I am really looking forward to  But perhaps more important included is the 2013 Ford V8 Supercar. Now they just have to licence the Holden...  |

There is a hot lap contest for one week starting today. Fastest lap of the Palmer Jaguar JP-LM around Sakitto GP (Suzuka  ). The prize is a Thrustmaster T500 RS Wheel and Thrustmaster TH8 RS Shifter. |

I installed Build 226 this morning and I again have the game working. I previously was having problems with the game locking up at the login screen. I isolated the problem to the AFR-FriendlyD3D trick to enable SLI. I did not do that, and the problem stopped. The interesting thing is that the game runs better now, even without the AFR-FriendlyD3D trick. I am getting playable FPS at Watkins Glen, better than what I was getting before with AFR-Friendly enabled. My guess is that WMD has made some changes to the game. I also noticed that the gears are now appearing on the LCD screen of my Fanatec CSR Elite wheel. Very cool!!!

hmmm... I tried updating my nVidia drivers this morning and it failed miserably  Had to just kill the power to shut the computer down... at some point I will try turning it on again to see if it still works  |

Although I am experiencing some weirdness, overall, the new driver seems to be OK. |

reboot worked, although Surround was disabled.
tried the nVidia install again and this time it worked, custom (no 3d drivers) but not 'clean'.
so running now with 301.42 drivers and pCARS is working fine

The lighting in this game is amazing. 60x timescale, had to cap at 1/2 res because FRAPS was choking on full res. Pick the 720p quality.
