Me and hunter had a blast last night, even though our showings were less than stellar. I feel I had decent pace (2 seconds off pole position feels like pole to me!) but I just didn't have enough practice with old tires and went for a couple spins haha. Definitely love these cars and hope another season with them is in the future. Starting to practice for our battle in the mountain today!

Glad you guys had fun. That is of the utmost importance. If you aren't having fun, what's the point. I was cautiously optimistic going into tonight, as Dale & I historically have run reasonably well here in other leagues. I felt pretty good about been able to contest for a podium...but wasn't expecting to have the night I did last night. I had a blast in R1 running door to door w/ Dale & Angelo a few times. I was a little surprised to actually have enough pace to run down Angelo, not once, but twice. But needless to say running down and passing are 2 entirely different things around a track w/ as many narrow confines as Oky. I guessed pretty quick that Angelo may have been running a tire change strategy in R2 as I had to push too hard to try to keep him behind, so when he popped out on the backstraight, I conceded the lead w/o too much struggle. From there I was trying to minimize the time loss w/o sliding/locking the tires in the hopes my speculation was right. Once I saw Angelo peel off for the pits, and returned to the track 18 seconds back I knew I had a good chance. That almost went out the window w/ about 8 laps to go when I had a screen freeze just before the braking zone on the backstraight. After a trip through the sand my 14 second lead evaporated to 7ish. Now I could only afford to lose 1 sec/lap vs the 2 sec/lap I had been driving too. I tried to pick up the pace and hang on. Somehow I was fortunate enough not to make any major mistakes and finished w/ a second and a little change to spare. Thanks to all that turned out last night. Congrats to Angelo on the R1 win.

Also we will do restarts if there is a crash in turn 1, or if somebody jumps the start. So just speak up and let us know if you jump the start or something.
We are pretty relaxed when it comes to restarts (within reason). We want everybody to race and have a chance for a good time. Also keep asking questions. Most of us have been racing together for at least 2+ years.

I didn't realize the car could move before the green light (I'm used to iRacing I suppose)

Yeah, you have to keep an eye on this Cody. In some cases the car dont move at all, but there are cases that the car can move forwards or backwards if you dont hold the brakes, just like in real life.

Yea I will for sure keep an eye on it for sure. On a side note, have you guys ever held a race with the stadium trucks? I just tried them for the first time and am having a blast!

Yes we had a series a few months back that ran a different car and track for each event and we did the trucks. Lots of fun
