Sadness, over 200 laps of practice on and off line and I get dumped off the server after a few laps of the race...Did notice things seemed a little jerky yesterday but I reset the computer and it seemed fine...Knight is cursed on Sundays. Ah damn, sorry to hear that Knight. I had my video driver crash and reset while sitting on the grid. It came back with 5 sec to go but unfortunately when that happens the card comes back in power saving mode and I was at 400 MHz GPU clock instead of 680 MHz. So yeah... it was 30 fps at the start. Hard luck for Boza today. We were on different strategies and it appeared like we were going to be tangling after our pit stops but Boza with fresher tires. Alas, it didn't work out due to some bad luck for him. Kelly, feel free to switch cars. No one should be stuck with a car they don't like, especially for 90 minutes. SMOK3Y, thanks! Hopefully you can join us next month.

Thank you kind sir! I appreciate that. I'll let you know what I go with here in the next couple of days. I ran some offline laps at Spa and in a couple of cars I was faster than my Mustang times right out of the gate with FAR better control.
Cheers!

I checked my connection to the grid and though my up and download speeds are far from stellar they are acceptable. So I guess there must have been a bottle neck somewhere between here and that spare bedroom.

Congrats F1. Once again, in the waning stages of the race it was turning into a showdown w/ Jarhead for the final podium spot. I caught a break w/ about 2 to go when I saw headlights in the mirror do a pirouette. I don't know if I would've been able to hold him off...though I was going to give it hell trying.

I may switch to the 635 or Alfa to add some diversity to the field for the next round. No sense having half the field running Cossies...though they are a pretty sweet car. ;D

The Volvo is a damn good car too. Every bit as fast as the Sierra. And sounds pretty wicked to boot.

You have these endurance races figured out ;D ;D @knight....Sorry to see u get drop from the race after putting in so much time practicing. @f1...This race for me was more about bad driving than bad luck. I spun out 3 times in the same spot and it cost me the lead one of those times. THIS TRACK IS VERY UNFORGIVING especially if not concentrating 100%. One of these races I will hopefully figure it out and give you a run F1..

I was looking at the Alfa for my switch car. I'll run a long race with it and see what happens. I also drove the Skyline and the Supra and the Bimmer. All were great cars but the Alfa was a hoot to run.
Cheers!

I think it was Tony that got a penalty for ignoring the blue flag. Even though I was following him I didn't have the pace (or desire) at that point so late in the race to overtake him.
I'm making an assumption that because Spa was a F1 track that it has hyper-sensitive blue flag rules. Some night when there are a few guys on the practice server I want to test blue flag behavoir in a mock race at Donington to confirm.
However, as much as it should not be necessary, it may just be a good idea to lift slightly and give up a second or two just to clear the flag. I'll leave that up to the individual driver's discretion as long as you realize the longer the blue flag is displayed the more you're playing with fire.

That was me, and I never noticed the blue flag till the text scrolled across the bottom said I had a penalty for ignoring it. I was watching my mirror to see when and where you would make the pass.
