hmm... buying from NCIX for years, just bought a monitor from them last week. But I usually just check the weekly flyer deals for specials and this was one of those deals not listed there... And I bought the same card a couple of weeks ago from Newegg... not on sale  |

For Canadians, shopbot.ca is your friend as it aggregates all the main retailers but also does very well at finding the best deal for each.
NCIX has several layers of deals and not all are in all flyers. If there's a specific item I want I put the part number of what I want into Shopbot, bookmark the resulting search page and check the URL every morning.

A little secret is that NCIX often changes their deals but doesn't delete the old pages right away so always bookmark something if you need to think about it. For example that card is now showing as $439 but I can still get to the $429 page. They always seem to honour the price for me even if it's expired (probably only within a reasonable time period though). My purchase was on a deal that had expired two days prior. |

ya even mines down for physics they reckon using 32bit kills it a bit as mine was usually in the 8000+ range. but for some reason 64bit version wont work |

ya it worked last time i used it (before i put in second card) but now only 32bit works  its only the physics that lose points on 32bit 3dmark.. |

So I'm completely at a loss as to what's causing my video crashing but I don't think it's the cards. The other night rF2 would crash during a 5 lap F2 race and I could reproduce it. Looking at the minidump logs it's always the Nvidia driver taking the system down with a bad memory write. So I started noting some posts on the EVGA forum about VRAM overheating and decided to do a severe test.
Last night I ran the Heaven benchmark at max settings for over an hour. No crash even though the cards were at 100% for the whole time). I then loaded rF2 with 30 AI cars and a 50 lap race and let it run. No crash.
I'm lost now. The crashing seems random.

the only time ill get a crash is when i o/c it too much F1 but i love that Heaven benchmark in triple screen ;D
