My thread title definitely could have been more gentle. Given the audience, me saying "don't want to test" was probably perceived as an insult, since many of the folks reading it, including you, kurupt, extensively test the game. That being said, I joined in January 2012 and have run builds on average weekly since then. Yes, I have not posted much feedback (probably less than a dozen posts), but I have struggled with the game for quite some time. I only learned earlier this week that the game was sending problem reports back to SMS and so my struggles with the game have helped its development. I simply have decided that I do not want to beta test anymore. Rather, I want to enjoy the game.
As to the investment angle, I did read the material when I bought in, but I am naturally skeptical of any investment opportunity. I do civil litigation for a living, and I have represented hundreds of folks that have been defrauded by sharp "entrepreneurs." My attitude about this was and has always been that it sounded too good to be a true investment opportunity and so I was OK plunking down my $32.95 just for the privilege of playing the game. I liked SMS's Shift games and was intrigued by what they can do on their own, without a make money at all costs publisher like EA to interfere and screw things up.
I looked back 2 1/2 years in this very thread and when I bought in, in January 2012, I put the word investment in quotes in a post I wrote, so as to communicate my skepticism. Perhaps my skepticism was and is misplaced, but it is healthy for me to expect nothing and be surprised.

BTW, my comment about $0.01 profit was facetious because I realize I have very little money in.
The table in that PDF is a little misleading (there are a lot more than 150 members per position other than Senior Manager) and it doesn't include the Full Member.
If I calculate back from the dollar totals on the forum there are only about 30,000 "shares" (some people have multiples). As a Full Member I could make $124 Euro if they sell 250,000 units but I never was in it for profit so if it comes to nothing, so be it.

The revenue template was the original based on a 60/40 ownership sms/community funding. Sms let the community vote on re opening funding and lower sms initial funding which passed that's when I purchased my other 4 packs. With that vote getting passed it lowered sms funding and allowed for a lower quota and better return possibility for community funders. There hasn't been an updated template with new figures that I am aware of? Believe it's do to fsa rules and to hide the fact it really is in a way an investment The latest shut down by the fsa actually favored the community as it forced sms to add a full refund to any person up until the official release of the game that way somewhat securing the possibility sms couldn't shut down shop during development and run with our money which had happened in other game builds similar to this structure. So in short if this game becomes a piece of shit you can get your cash back the day before release

The owner of force India was given a test drive by one of his drivers and our physic consultant and was extremely impressed and has since asked For a few access passes to the game. Oh that would be a great partnership for the game!

Finally got confirmation on the possible revenue sharing from vittori.
He said playing the beta and being active on the forms is considered testing and helping the project. The amount of posts and participation on the form is merely for upgrading your tier for free by being promoted to a form ambassador which I believe is only for those below a senior tier. If promoted you would get all the same access and revenue as a senior team member.

I am a Full Member. To be honest, I have no idea what that means, other than that I am allowed to download the builds and play them, and post on the forums.

If I am correct anything below team member gets limited content during the build and only get 1 update a month and a discount on the games release. Team member and above get daily builds and the game for free upon release and an Ai named after you. After team member you get Ai, in game add banners for your company, discounts on micro transactions, invitation to real life track days hosted by sms which I really look forward too detail wise as well as access to developer meetings. This is all based on your tier

SMS has decided to bump the release date from this November to March 2015. They cite two reasons. First, they want to get out of the crowded holiday release schedule, which they believe would have negatively impacted sales. Second, they acknowledge that the game lacks the polish and bug fixes that it would need to be released next month.
I personally am not surprised. Although the game is looking and feeling great, I continue to have crashes and lock ups, even with the newer builds. They clearly have a substantial amount of work left to get the title ready for release.

I will guess that the Assetto Corsa RC had something to do with that. SMS likely didn't want to get into a war for simracer's dollars. Better to release in a few months after the AC hype dies off and it also gives them a chance to analyse the competition.

I think it has a little more to due with not being a finished product than competition, in theory iracing, ac rf2 are a minor % of there competition as the consoles are where the big $$$ are at, which none of the "hardcore" Sims are in. Fm5, gt6 is what there aiming at. The pc scene has been flooded with titles and spread the community thin the majority are either on iracing or ac, consoles have 1 title on a new platform. Not mention There's still nearly a dozen cars that were to be base content that haven't been completed and only a handful of tracks are 100% complete, Ai was just touched last month, the tire model is still a wip as they choose to rewrite it a few months back and none of the adjustable sliders for the ffb and sound have been added to the ui. From the beginning they said they would not release the product till it was ready to avoid all the other "on going development games" which makes total sense, in all honesty I thought a November release was slightly being a bit optimistic especially where they were at when they announced it. Better to perfect it and optimize it than release another hurried shift 2 product. Remember when kunos announced back in 2012 assetto corsa coming spring 2013.....ya we just recieved 75% of a game yesterday

Fired up P-Cars yesterday for the first time in awhile. Drove a few cars like the BMW DRM, Ariel Atom and the Ruf GT3. The physics have improved drastically since I last tried it. I tweaked a couple settings on my wheel and could really feel the road and got a very good sense of what the tires were doing (wheel hop, curbs, etc). I cranked the ffb in game up to 100% and set my wheel ffb to 80 and the FOR up to 120.
Graphically it's stunning as we all know, but does seem to be optimized better now as well.
My only complaint is distorted look on the side monitors on triple screen (like when you don't check the multiview option in rf1 or rf2). I can't find a way to adjust this.

Good to hear! It's been a while since I tested the game......Performance with amd gpu is pitiful (as well as bugged in many racing sims) think i may return to nvidia also so much has changed that I don't know what's really going on anymore to get the best experience. Still waiting on a thrustmaster tx profile to be added as the t500 and t500 profiles are bugged with the tx cause the can use 1080 degree of rotation where the tx uses only 900. On the up I've been reading a lot ex haters of the game coming out on many forms saying there impressed with with the latest ffb/physics updates so it looks like there heading in the right direction As for the triple screen setup they said that will be done at a later time.

I fired it up last night for the first time in several weeks. It ran just fine, no crashes. The graphics seem to be better optimized. The FFB and physics felt pretty good. They definitely are getting there.

I'm a little confused about framerate and perhaps I need to read more about configuration options but with either one video card or two active, I was only getting 40 fps on triple screens. It's especially weird that that 2nd card didn't add any fps.

If I recall correctly it has not been optimized for sli or crossfire yet. Tho I believe if you check the forms there custom profiles created that wI'll enable you to use the extra card
