Wow, that looks awesome. Looking forward to this one. Just hope it has the physics and CPU optimization to live up to the hype.
BTW Knight, I went in and edited your post so the video would show on mobile devices. For some reason, the Proboard app does not like https. I simply changed it to http and it now shows up.
Thanks for posting. Got my blood boiling a bit. :-)

Cheers mate, Interestingly one of the Devs is still working on a PC we would turn our noses up at. The claim is the game is so well optimised it will run on quite lowly hardware on release. Physics?...Well that is the burning question.

Well, I just played netKar PRO. If Assetto Corsa has the same FFB and physics, but Project CARS like graphics, it will be the new standard for sim racing games.

The Assetto Corsa demo is now available, but to use it, you must purchase a netKar PRO activation code, which you can get for 4.99 euro, $6.70 (approximately) American. I will be downloading this as soon as I get home tonight. Woohoo!!! I tried netKar PRO last night and its good fun. The download and set up are very easy and the FFB and physics felt great right out of the box. Its clearly dated tech, being five years old, but its worth the few dollars they are asking for it. www.virtualr.net/assetto-corsa-technology-preview-demo-available

Iam excited/curious about this title I was gonna give in this evening and buy netkar pro so i can get the new demo, then i did a quick google search to see what mods were available for the game assuming there would be a ton like all the other older games.......0......only 5 hd dashboard updates and a hand full of tracks no cars? I found this a bit surprising cause they mentioned on there home page AC would be full moddable. So it will be interesting to see how many modders will hop over to support this title, and how long will it take to figure out there software and produce a mod? With those shiny graphics and proclaimed physics its gonna take a top notch modder and time to make a quality mod for this title.

I downloaded the demo to try it out. Once I got it figured out how to get my wheel/pedals to work correctly, etc was pretty good The car feel is very nice, very smooth, very controllable (unless you downshift too early ). There is a lot of engine vibe coming thru the wheel (I think Fanatec wheels will do this in GT5 also?) which might be a bit much. Graphically it is on par with pCARS at least in my uneducated opinion, it is also a bit easier on my eyes than rF2 (which seems to have some harsh lighting I need to figure how to tone down). One of the nicest things on the in-car view is the widgets which you can actually drag around with the mouse which is pretty cool, here's hoping the other sims pick up on this idea! So one car and one track but I think it generally hits the mark as a demonstrator of what is coming. However, I don't think they will have it done for end of Q1, or at least imo they should not try to push it out the door too soon...

I just played the demo. Where do I start?
Amazing is all I can say. This game is already almost there, its just missing the additional cars and tracks, and a multiplayer mode, all of which I am confident is almost done, if not already done.
First, it looks absolutely amazing, particularly on my triple screen set up at the magic resolution of 5760 X 1200. The screen shots don't do it justice, you have to see it to believe it. Its Project CARS, but done. I had to turn it down a bit to get 40-50 FPS at that resolution, but it still looks amazing. Grass, cockpits, buildings, you name it, it looks state of the art. You can set the demo for different times of day and there is a clear difference between 10:30am, for example, and 5:30pm.
Second, the FFB and physics are spot on. Almost perfect. Think rFactor 2 level physics and FFB. But, did I mention that the game looks as good, if not better than Project CARS. You can feel everything the car is doing. You can adjust the FFB as you like it, but the default was pretty good.
And, it has am amazing amount of customization options. Definitely different than rFactor, but just as flexible. Track map? Check! Fanatec app? Check! Performance delta on screen? Check!
In short, the demo alone is worth buying netKar PRO for the measly sum of less than $7. Go do it now so you don't miss out any longer!!!!

lol I gave in and bought netkar pro but have yet to recieve a code? unless its the same code you get for the netkar activation? Not sure if my wheel is messed up, but wasnt very impressed with netkar out of the box....still curious how a game with no mods 5 cars and 10 tracks had a following for all these yrs lol I had ingame and wheel set to 900 and it felt like 250, everything felt like an on/off switch. Ill give it another go when i get back from the world of wheels show today
